Children's Religious Education (CRE)

The Religious Education Program at FCB aims to provide an enlightening, engaging and rewarding religious educational experience for all children that:

Is grounded in the principles of Unitarian Universalism
Focuses on fundamental human values, life skills, and spiritual development and exploration
Encourages an understanding and acceptance of all religions
Creates a sense of belonging to the entire church community

We offer a variety of programs on Sunday morning (9a.m., 11a.m.), and beyond, that capture the interest of children and help educate them on key social, spiritual and relational topics.

Spirit Play

Spirit Play is an active way of thinking about religious education. The lessons model authentic religious questioning, the freedom to search for one's own meaning, and perhaps most importantly, spiritual learning through fun and creativity.

1st - 6th Grade
Workshops & Free Play

Workshops, like Imagination Station and Toolbox of Faith are offered on alternating Sunday morning's beginning April 2022. The goal of these workshops is to have children think of creative and peaceful solutions to both personal and global issues, while learning the power of imagination, the importance of community, and the possibility of social change.

7th & 8th Grade
Building Bridges

Building Bridges is a world religions program to deepen youth's understanding of the dynamic, fascinating, and varied world in which they live. It seeks to broaden their knowledge of humanity and embolden their spiritual search.
